Nigerians accused of kidnapping 80-year-old American woman remain in custody

Two Nigerians, Emmanuel Adedoyin Adebayor and Esther Ogbonna, accused of kidnapping an 80-year-old American woman, Diana Christine Nelson, have appeared in court for the second time in Accra.

Despite being granted bail of GH¢500,000 each, the accused remain in custody due to their inability to meet the conditions.

They allegedly lured Nelson to Ghana under false pretenses, held her captive, and withdrew over $15,000 from her bank account.

The case, which involves an ongoing search for a third suspect, has been adjourned to March 17.
