Two sisters, Akalu Emefa, 15, and Emmanuela Dziwornu, 8, were found murdered. Their bodies were discovered in a bush near their farm in Brewaniase. This tragic event occurred on Sunday, April 20.
Their mother, Madam Akpalu Mawusi, had sent them to the farm. The police in Nkwanta have recovered the bodies. They have deposited them at the Municipal morgue.
An investigation into the murders has begun. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Lawrence Wiafe briefed the Ghana News Agency. He assured that efforts are underway to find those responsible.
The tragedy has caused widespread grief and outrage in the community. Residents are demanding increased security for vulnerable children.
