Northern region: Discovery of two murdered children sparks tension at Banvim

There is growing tension in Banvim, Kakpagyili electoral area, Northern Region, following the alleged murder of two children, Arafat and Ayaa.

The children went missing on June 22, 2024, after stating they were visiting a neighbor but never returned.

Community efforts to search the neighbor's house yielded no results, heightening unrest.

Assembly member Alhaji Hafiz Andani reported that police investigations discovered the victims' bodies in an abandoned car behind the suspect’s house.

The bodies have been taken to the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue as investigations continue.
