Pirates kidnap 3 crew members after attacking Ghanaian fishing vessel - Ghanaian Times

Three crew members were kidnapped from a Ghanaian fishing vessel last Thursday. The incident occurred in the Western Region.

The Ghana Navy reported that the victims are all Chinese nationals. They were on board the "MENGXIN 1" when seven pirates attacked. This happened around 5:53 PM amid gunfire.

The pirates forced the crew and their Ghanaian colleagues to hide inside the vessel. A statement from Brigadier General E. Aggrey Quashie confirmed the attack and kidnapping.
