Police arrest 2 for unlawful possession and discharge of firearms

The Western North Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals for unlawfully possessing and discharging firearms.

Their arrest follows a viral video from March 14, showing young men firing guns at a funeral in Attakrom, near Bibiani.

A swift police investigation led to the suspects’ capture on April 2, with assistance from the Formed Police Unit (FPU).

The suspects have admitted to their involvement, and authorities are now pursuing other individuals seen in the footage.

DSP Michael Nkekesi urged the public to support efforts in apprehending the remaining suspects, reaffirming the police's commitment to public safety.
