A police highway patrol team at Dzrakate, near Akatsi, has arrested two suspects for possessing suspected human blood without authorization.

The suspects, Winnie Agbofoatsi Kwesi, a 34-year-old teacher, and Morgan Martins, a 38-year-old contractor, were charged under the Criminal Offences (Amendment) Act, 2012.

On February 9, police intercepted a Toyota Corolla on the Accra-Aflao highway, discovering three plastic containers of suspected human blood labeled with Agbofoatsi’s contact.

The driver claimed he was delivering them from Tema to Agbofoatsi in Agbozume.

Agbofoatsi admitted he was transporting the blood to a fetish priest in Lome, Togo. Martins, who allegedly supplied the blood, was also arrested.

Both suspects have been remanded, with another accomplice still at large as investigations continue.
