Police hunts for man, 60, accused of defiling girl, 12

A 60-year-old man, Yaw Oboobi, is being sought by the police in the Twifo Atti Morkwa District of the Central Region for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl.

The girl, a pupil of Twifo Neamakurom D/A Basic School, fell ill after the incident.

She later disclosed that Oboobi had given her five cedis to keep the incident secret.

A medical examination confirmed the defilement.

The case has been reported to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), and the police are urging the public to provide information leading to Oboobi's arrest.
