The Ghana Police Service is actively pursuing suspects who attacked three Catholic priests in Nkwanta, Oti Region, on December 11, 2024.
The priests were inspecting land with officials from the Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly when local youth mistakenly believed they were stealing equipment.
One priest was injured during the incident. The police have vowed to bring the attackers to justice.
Meanwhile, the police have increased security at the National Police Training School in Accra as the Electoral Commission continues the collation of results from four disputed constituencies in the Eastern Region.
The police reassured the public that they are working to maintain law and order and process suspects arrested for post-election violence.
