Police probe DNA of found body in search for missing NDC women’s organiser

The Police Forensic Laboratory is conducting DNA tests to confirm if a mutilated body discovered in Tema is that of Paulina Lamisi, the missing NDC Women’s Organiser for Tema West.

Lamisi vanished from her Sowutuom home on June 12, 2024.

The next day, police found a female torso wrapped in polythene and hidden in a suitcase in a bush at Tema Community 25, with missing limbs and head.

Investigators have taken blood samples from Lamisi’s daughter for comparison, relying on the body’s hip bone due to the absence of hair and teeth.

Tracing her phone revealed it was last active at Kanda, where her mobile money account was emptied.

Despite international efforts, the DNA test remains the family’s final hope for closure.
