Police in Denchira, Ga South Municipality, saved two men, Kwame Kondo and Fofoe Kondo, from being lynched by a mob after they were caught with a dead body in a sack.

The suspects, intercepted on a motorbike with registration number M-10-GR 1484, reportedly told residents they were delivering the body to one Togbui Kpe at Amasaman.

Alarmed residents at Ashalaja attacked the men until the police intervened.

During interrogation, the suspects claimed the body was taken from Adawukwa, a village near Bowjuasi.

Police from Bowjuasi have since taken custody of the body and the suspects for further investigation.
