Policewoman detained for scalding colleague with hot water

The Ghana Police Service has detained and interdicted Police Constable Alonsi Elizabeth for allegedly causing harm to a female colleague.

According to an official statement, the suspect poured hot water on the victim during an argument.

She is currently in custody and will face both internal disciplinary proceedings and legal action.

Meanwhile, the injured officer, who sustained burns on her face and back, is in stable condition and receiving medical care.

The police assured the public that due process will be followed in handling the case.
