Prosecution amends charges against Ahmed Suale murder suspect

The prosecution has amended the charges against Daniel Owusu Koranteng. He is a suspect in the killing of Ahmed Suale.

The new charges now include abetment to commit murder. This change occurred during a court session on Wednesday, April 2.

Koranteng, a 35-year-old businessman known as Nana Amakye, denies selling photos of Suale. He claims he did not sell these images to former MP Kennedy Agyapong before Suale's murder in 2019.

The prosecution argues that Suale identified Koranteng as the person who supplied the images. These images were later shown on Net2 TV, where Agyapong called for action against Suale.

Initially, Koranteng faced a murder charge when he was arraigned on March 19. This charge now includes abetment to murder.

He remains in custody and will appear in court again on April 17.
