SC hears application against petition to remove CJ April 9

The Supreme Court has rescheduled the hearing on the Chief Justice's removal.

Justice Gertrude Araba Sackey Torkonoo is the Chief Justice in question.

The new date for the hearing is April 9.

Vincent Ekow Assafuah, MP for Old Tafo, filed the case.

He wants the Supreme Court to rule on this issue.

Assafuah argues that President John Dramani Mahama must notify the Chief Justice.

Mahama received a petition from three Ghanaians about her removal.

He forwarded it to the Council of State for advice.

Assafuah believes Mahama should have obtained her response first.
