SHS graduate, 27, arrested over murder of 75-year-old spiritual healer

A 27-year-old SHS graduate has been arrested for murder. The Twifo Atti Morkwa District Police Command apprehended him. He is accused of killing a 75-year-old spiritual healer. Three others were also injured in the incident.

Eyewitnesses report that Kweku Twia had a fight with his father. This argument escalated into violence. Twia allegedly attacked his father with a machete, causing severe injuries to his neck, hands, and stomach.

Afterward, he encountered Ante Amataa in the community. He reportedly killed her with a machete, inflicting three fatal wounds.

Following these attacks, Twia fled into the bush. He later returned and wounded two more people in the community.

The situation caused fear and panic among residents. A public announcement was made, leading to his arrest by Superintendent Charles Addei Boateng and his team.

Nana Kojo Damptey, the local linguist, suggested that Twia may be involved in drug abuse. He noted Twia's calm demeanor during the incident.

The body of the spiritual healer is at the Twifo Praso Government Hospital. The three injured victims are also receiving treatment there.
