SSNIT OBS case: Godson Ladzekpo is a ‘very dangerous and treacherous character ‘ – Court

The High Court in Accra has sharply criticized Godson Kwadzo Ladzekpo, General Manager of SSNIT’s MIS Division, calling him a “dangerous and treacherous character” in the trial over the controversial $66 million SSNIT Operational Business Suite (OBS) project.

Ladzekpo, the prosecution’s star witness, was accused of misleading the court by falsely claiming that digitizing SSNIT’s legacy documents was part of the OBS contract, despite knowing otherwise.

The court found his testimony unreliable, raising doubts about his credibility.

In a major ruling, the court acquitted Perfect Business Systems CEO Juliet Kramer, citing the prosecution’s failure to prove its case.

The trial, involving former SSNIT Director-General Ernest Thompson and others, highlights concerns about the management of public funds and integrity within SSNIT.
