Scrap dealer arrested for allegedly stealing 200 cooking pots in Gomoa Ojobi

The Gomoa Ojobi District Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old scrap dealer, Osaka Mumuni, for allegedly stealing over 200 aluminium cooking pots (Dadensen) in the Gomoa-Ojobi township.

Reports indicate that residents had long complained about missing pots, prompting traders to set up measures to catch the thief.

On February 24, 2025, Mumuni was apprehended.

Some locals recounted how scrap dealers would deliberately dump food from cooking pots onto the ground before making away with them.

His arrest has brought relief to the community, as authorities investigate the extent of the thefts.
