The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has charged six individuals at the Tamale High Court for corruption and payroll fraud, alleging financial loss to the state.
The accused—Yakubu Tahidu, Abdulai Abukari Sadic, Sammy Suuk, Mohammed Yusif Jay, Stafford Korletey Azudey-Barres, and Osman Issahaku—face 17 counts linked to illegal salary payments.
Yakubu Tahidu, a former teacher, allegedly continued receiving salaries while working at MASLOC. The others are accused of facilitating or failing to prevent the fraudulent payments.
Authorities say improper salary validations by education and finance officials enabled the scheme.
The OSP vows to hold those accountable as investigations continue.
