The Savannah Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect in a robbery and murder case. The victims were mobile money vendor Benjamin Apuri and another person. This incident occurred at Pwalugu in the Upper East Region.

The suspect was apprehended in Mankarigu, a suburb of North Gonja district.

During a press briefing in Damongo, Savannah Regional Police Commander COP Samuel Winful shared details about the arrest. He said the operation was based on intelligence that led to finding Nuhu Mumuni at his hideout.

Nuhu Mumuni was on the wanted list of police in the Upper East Region. He was arrested on April 8, 2025, by an operational team.
