The Tamale Circuit Court, led by His Honor Francis Asobayire, has sentenced Nyankpani Hadi, 39, to nine years and Yussif Abdul Hamid, 18, to four years of hard labor for theft and related crimes.
The duo faced charges including conspiracy to steal, possession of stolen property, and unlawful possession of burglary tools, under the Criminal Offenses Act.
Both pleaded guilty and were convicted on their own plea.
Hadi admitted to a scheme involving 215 labeled duplicate keys stolen from victims during visits to their homes, later using them to commit theft.
The police recovered stolen items, including phones, laptops, and an unregistered motorbike, during investigations.
Efforts are ongoing to identify and contact victims to assist in further inquiries.
