The Circuit Court in Tamale has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of four fugitives linked to the January 28 shooting at the Tamale Central Market.

The suspects—Faisal Alhassan, Osman Mohammed Nyohini Zaachi, Rashid Zakaria, and Yakubu Mohammed—remain at large, while a fifth suspect, Tahiru Sulemana, was arrested after sustaining gunshot wounds and has since been remanded.

Investigations reveal that the attack stemmed from a land dispute involving a businessman, Alhassan Fuseini.

The suspects, armed with G3 and AK-47 rifles, opened fire, injuring multiple victims. Police recovered spent shells and live ammunition from the crime scene.

Security forces have since secured the market as authorities intensify efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects.
