Tamale North NPP Chairman suspended for shooting a polling station executive

The Northern Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended its Tamale North Chairman, Mohammed Fuseini Sadat, following serious allegations raised by polling station executives.

A petition highlighted various violations of the party’s constitution, including accusations of Sadat shooting and injuring polling station organizer Karim Alhassan on January 17, 2025, due to a dispute.

Additionally, Sadat is accused of leading thugs to seize a pickup truck from the driver of the parliamentary candidate for the 2024 elections.

In light of these charges, Sadat's suspension was enforced, and the petition has been forwarded to the regional disciplinary committee for further investigation and appropriate actions.
