Tony Aubynn sues Adom-Otchere for defamation, seeks GHS30m in damages

Dr. Tony Aubynn, former CEO of the Minerals Commission, has filed a civil defamation lawsuit against Paul Adom-Otchere, the host of Good Evening Ghana, and Ignite Media Group.

Aubynn claims that statements made by Adom-Otchere on his show portrayed him as dishonest, corrupt, and unpatriotic, damaging his reputation.

He is seeking GHS 30 million in general damages and GHS 10 million in punitive damages.

Aubynn also requests a public apology and a permanent injunction to prevent further defamatory publications.

The suit alleges that the defendants knowingly spread false information, maliciously targeting Aubynn to harm his reputation without verifying the claims.
