The Tarkwa District Court One has remanded nine individuals into prison custody for allegedly murdering a taxi driver, Kwadwo Donkor, in Akotom, Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality.

The suspects, facing charges of conspiracy and murder, are set to reappear in court on March 3, 2025.

According to prosecutors, the incident occurred on November 8, 2024, after a suspect, Sheriffa—currently on the run—falsely accused Donkor of theft.

The accused, along with others at large, allegedly tied him to a pole and beat him to death before dumping his body in a bush.

A duplicate docket has been sent to the Attorney General’s office for further action.
