W/R: Police arrest suspect for stealing vehicle belonging to EPA in Tarkwa

The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested one person. He is accused of stealing a Toyota Land Cruiser. The vehicle belongs to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It was stolen in Tarkwa, located in the Western Region.

The suspect is Salifu Gariba. He was arrested on April 16, 2025. Officers from the Northern Regional Police Command made the arrest at Kukobila. This location is along the Tamale-Bolgatanga highway. They also recovered the stolen vehicle.

According to police, preliminary investigations show that the theft occurred early on April 15, 2025. The vehicle was taken from an EPA employee's home in Budo City, Tarkwa.

Salifu Gariba is currently in police custody. He will go through the legal process now.
