Private legal practitioner Mr. Obiri Boahen has expressed disappointment over the absence of JB Danquah’s family, wife, and parliamentary colleagues during court proceedings in the late MP’s murder trial.

Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio, Mr. Boahen revealed that throughout the years of the case, neither the widow, relatives, nor MPs from both the NPP and NDC attended any hearings.

Highlighting the recent mistrial declared by the court following a 4:3 not guilty jury verdict, Mr. Boahen noted that a retrial would proceed with a reconstituted jury. However, he raised concerns about the potential unavailability of key witnesses, which could jeopardize proceedings.

Describing the situation as “unfortunate,” Mr. Boahen criticized the lack of solidarity, stating, “How can you work with someone and not show up for their murder trial?”
