10 Animals That are Colour Blind

Many animals experience the world differently due to limited or no color vision. Dogs and cats have dichromatic vision, mainly seeing blues and yellows. Whales and dolphins are monochromatic, perceiving only shades of gray and blue. Bulls are red-color blind, reacting to movement rather than hue. Sharks, too, are completely color blind, relying on contrast and motion. Rats struggle to see reds, while owls have excellent night vision but poor color perception. Snakes detect infrared heat instead of colors, aiding in hunting. Surprisingly, cuttlefish, despite their color-changing ability, are color blind and perceive contrast rather than hues. These adaptations help these animals navigate, hunt, and survive in their unique environments.
