US rapper Ja Rule recently mentioned working with a Ghanaian artist. However, he could not remember the artist's name. A video of him recording with Ghanaian rapper Tinny has surfaced online.
The song is called "Good Time Rules." It was recorded during Tinny’s peak in the late 2000s. At that time, he had hits like "Makola Kwakwe," "Ringtone," and "Zingolo."
In a 2015 interview with YFM, Tinny explained why he couldn't release the track. He said it was owned by his record label, Maddhaus Entertainment. They would decide if it could be released.
Tinny shared how the collaboration happened. He said Ja Rule visited Ghana and listened to his music. Ja Rule loved it and suggested they make a song together.
Richie from Lynx Entertainment was also involved at that time. They recorded "Good Time Rules" at Maddhaus studio. Although Tinny has the track, he cannot release it because he doesn't own it.
Producer Morris Babyface also spoke about his collaboration with Ja Rule. He shared a snippet of their 2009 track titled "Hey Love."
Morris explained how the collaboration came about. He went to UBeats and received Ja Rule's vocals there. Then, he brought them to Kumasi for programming and singing.
He made sure to fit Ja Rule’s rap into the song but never released it. Morris discussed this on Hitz FM on April 3, 2025.
