65-year-old walks from Kumasi to Accra for John Mahama’s inauguration

Alhaji Yakubu Ayaana, a 65-year-old philanthropist, is walking 250km from Kumasi to Accra to honor John Mahama's January 7, 2025, presidential inauguration.

This symbolic journey reflects his support for Mahama's 2024 election victory (56.55% of the vote) and a commitment to Ghana's democracy.

Alhaji Ayaana, known for similar feats, previously walked to commemorate Jerry Rawlings' second-term inauguration in 1997 and led a peace walk in Tamale in 1999.

His actions highlight a message of unity, respect, and hope amid Ghana's economic challenges.
