On Wednesday, a pool of 45 potential jurors was selected for Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex-trafficking trial.
The final jury selection will occur on Friday at 9 a.m. ET. Attorneys will take turns eliminating jurors to form a panel of 12 jurors and 6 alternates.
Prosecutors have six strikes, while Combs’ defense team has ten. Both sides also have three strikes for alternate jurors.
Combs attended the courtroom on Wednesday with his attorneys.
The parties agreed to postpone the selection until Friday, so court will not be held on Thursday. They believe this is more efficient since some jurors may want to withdraw due to the trial's time commitment.
CNN reported that the trial is expected to last several weeks. Many qualified jurors mentioned they had seen media coverage or hotel footage of Combs with his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
Once finalized, the jury will be sworn in on Monday before opening statements begin. Prosecutors plan to call two witnesses briefly on Monday and expect their third witness to take most of the week.
