Dr. Sarah Dorgbadzi, a renowned storyteller and director, shared insights on African spirituality during her appearance on The Standpoint with Gifty Anti.

She emphasized that Africans had a profound connection with God long before European colonization, evident in their cultures, languages, and practices.

Dorgbadzi explained that God revealed Himself uniquely to different tribes, leading to diverse ways of worship and reverence.

She cited examples from Ghana, where the Ga call God "Ataa Naa Nyonmo," the Ewe refer to Him as "Mawu," and the Ashanti know Him as "Nyame."

These names reflect Africa's deep spiritual heritage.

She highlighted how spirituality was intricately woven into African daily life, countering narratives that diminish the continent's rich spiritual traditions.
