Afro International Music festival officially launched in Accra

The next Afro International Music Festival has officially been launched at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum in Accra, with a strong call for Ghanaian creatives to embrace and promote African culture.

Hosted by renowned musician and entrepreneur Trigmatic, the event brought together key industry players.

James Gardiner of the National Film Authority delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of cultural storytelling.

Newly appointed CEO Kelvin Amuzu expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am honoured to be part of this.” He envisions the festival as a vibrant platform to showcase African talent to the world.

Scheduled for 2026, the festival will feature both local and international artists, celebrating African music, art, and creativity.

Organisers aim to spotlight emerging voices while strengthening the continent’s cultural identity on the global stage.
