Afua Asantewaa tells how she was dragged during first Sing-a-thon attempt

Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum, who recently completed a five-day singing marathon in Kumasi, has addressed a "horrible plot" she faced during her first Guinness World Record attempt in Accra.

In a viral video, she revealed attempts to sabotage her, including plans to drug her.

Despite being accused of greed and attention-seeking, Afua expressed disbelief over the negativity she faced for pursuing a recognition without financial rewards.

She hinted at revealing full details in 2025 but remains silent now to avoid harming brands and individuals.

Reflecting on her second attempt, which had a smaller audience, Afua described it as more personal and fulfilling.

"This time, I really had time to assess myself. It was so intimate, and I loved it," she said.
