Afua Asantewaa thanks Ghanaians despite second disqualification from Guinness World Record

Ghanaian singer and brand influencer Afua Asantewaa has shared her gratitude. She thanked Ghanaians and global supporters despite her second disqualification from the Guinness World Record. This record was for the longest individual singing marathon.

In a Facebook statement on May 8, she called her journey "challenging yet rewarding." She described it as "an incredible experience." Afua noted that exploring her potential on this platform led to personal growth.

"I want to thank everyone who supported me," she said. She appreciated those who cheered, offered criticism, and believed in her journey. Her gratitude extended to Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, sponsors, the media, and the public.

Afua assured fans that she will continue to make progress despite the disqualification. The Guinness World Record disqualified her attempt due to guideline violations. She took longer breaks than allowed during the marathon.

The GWR stated they can only approve records when all rules are followed. This ensures fairness across all attempts. Despite this setback, Afua remains determined to pursue music and inspire her fans.
