Afua Asantewaa wins scholarship to study music abroad

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, renowned for her Guinness World Record attempt in Kumasi, has received a scholarship to study music at an international school.

The announcement follows her attempt at the record during Ghana's 2023 Detty December celebrations, which attracted notable figures like Nana Ama McBrown and Shatta Wale, as well as Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Fans celebrated her scholarship news, with Afua sharing a video of herself performing Black Sherif’s song "So It Goes."

Though the achievement has sparked mixed reactions, with some questioning the public celebration of success, many have expressed their support.

In addition, Afua and her husband recently met with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, where they discussed her record attempt.
