Agradaa ‘hot’ as Empress Gifty drags her to court demanding GH₵20m in defamation lawsuit

Empress Gifty Adorye, a Ghanaian gospel artist, has taken legal action against Nana Agradaa.

Her husband, Hopeson Adorye, shared documents on Facebook. They are demanding GH₵20 million in a defamation lawsuit at the Tema High Court.

The lawsuit was filed by her lawyers on May 20, 2025. Empress Gifty claims Agradaa made four defamatory statements about her.

Agradaa has made offensive remarks against Empress Gifty in recent posts and live videos. On May 13, 2025, she attacked Mr. Adorye during a live broadcast.

Empress Gifty insists she was not involved in their original dispute. Agradaa's comments included harsh insults about Empress Gifty's character and relationships.

She claimed that pastors have inappropriate relations with Empress Gifty before she sings. Agradaa also insulted Mr. Adorye’s marriage and called his wife derogatory names.

In response, Empress Gifty is seeking a court order to stop such statements. She wants an injunction against Agradaa and her associates from making similar remarks.

Additionally, the lawsuit requests the removal of all defamatory videos and audios from Agradaa's social media accounts. It also seeks costs for legal fees related to the case.
