**Agya Koo: Kumawood Actor Launches New Studio and Podcasts**

Kumawood actor Agya Koo has launched a new digital studio in Kumasi. His studio is already operational, with several podcast episodes gaining popularity online. A video of Agya Koo showcasing his venture excited many social media users.

Agya Koo, also known as Alex Adu Kofi, is entering the digital content creation industry. He began his career in the early 90s on Ghana's comedy show, Key Soap Concert Party. This is where he earned his stage name.

The actor has appeared in over 200 Ghanaian movies. He has worked with notable personalities like Nana Ama McBrown. Agya Koo experienced the golden age of Kumawood alongside legends like Bob Santo and Abusuapanin Judas.

In a recent video, Agya Koo arrived at his new studio for work. The studio opened its doors to staff and guests before he arrived. Located in Owhimase, it was officially launched on March 22, 2025.

Many Kumawood colleagues attended the launch, including Wayoosi. The studio has begun running its first programs, Edawanim and Kyere Mu Kyereme.

There are over 207 million content creators worldwide today. The industry's market size is currently $27 billion and expected to reach $90 billion by 2033.

Earlier, Agya Koo shared his rags-to-riches story about growing up. He lived near comedians Santo and Judas in Kasoa while working as a shoemaker. At that time, he lived in a wooden structure while they rented apartments.
