Apostle Agbelenyo warns against excessive consumption of 'soft drinks'

Apostle Dr. Kadmiel E.H. Agbelenyo is a certified Herbal Medicine Practitioner. He works at Sufficient Grace Theocracy Hospital in Otiakrom, Eastern Region, near Pokuase in Greater Accra.

Dr. Agbelenyo has warned about the health risks of carbonated drinks, or soft drinks. He spoke during the Passover Festival at Shallom-Otiakrom. He noted that these beverages contain high sugar levels and harmful chemicals.

“Excessive intake of carbonated drinks can damage kidneys and liver,” he stated. This can increase the risk of organ failure.

He expressed concern over rising kidney-related illnesses. Dr. Agbelenyo urged parents not to give soft drinks to their children. Instead, he encouraged families to make fresh fruit juices at home.

Fresh juices provide natural health benefits and help prevent diabetes. He also emphasized adding fruits and vegetables to daily meals.

However, he warned against commercially grown produce due to harmful chemicals used in farming. To promote a healthier lifestyle, he advised people to grow their own vegetables.

This ensures a chemical-free and nutritious diet. His remarks encourage Ghanaians to make healthier food choices for long-term health.
