President Mahama Meets Appiah Stadium During Kumasi Visit

On April 28, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama visited Kumasi. He launched the Adwumawura programme during this trip. After the launch, he encountered his supporter, Appiah Stadium.

In a video, the president smiled and chatted with supporters outside the Prempeh Assembly Hall. His interaction with Appiah Stadium received many reactions on social media.

The Adwumawura Programme aims to support at least 10,000 businesses each year. It focuses on empowering young people aged 18 to 35. Beneficiaries will receive skills training, mentorship, and access to capital.

While leaving the assembly hall, President Mahama also greeted actor Kwame Djokoto. He was accompanied by a heavy security detail during his visit.

The president met actor Wayoosi and engaged in friendly conversation with him. He then asked about Appiah Stadium's whereabouts. Appiah emerged from behind security personnel to greet him.

This encounter marked their first meeting in weeks. Their last interaction was at Alhaji Asoma Abu Banda's celebration of life event on April 10, 2025.

During this recent encounter, Appiah Stadium had just returned from a funeral service abroad. He made headlines for chasing after the president’s vehicle despite security protocols blocking him.

Social media users shared various comments about their meeting. One user noted how natural their interaction seemed. Another commented on Wayoosi's passionate response when discussing President Mahama.

Earlier reports indicated that Appiah Stadium bought a new phone for Ibrahim Mahama upon returning from Europe. However, Ibrahim declined to accept it as a gift.

Appiah expressed gratitude for funding his trip abroad for the funeral service alongside Kwame Ahenfie.
