Archbishop Duncan-Williams receives first Ghana Movie Awards nomination

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Founder of Action Chapel International, has received his first-ever Ghana Movie Awards nomination.

He earned a nod in the Cameo Actor category for his role in A Taste of Sin, directed by Frank Rajah Arase.

The awards ceremony will be held on December 24, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

The Ghana Movie Awards, established in 2010, celebrates excellence in the local film industry.

This year, 21 awards will be presented, recognizing achievements in categories such as Cinematography, Directing, Editing, Costume Design, Sound Mixing, and Best Picture.

Nominees for Actor in a Leading Role include Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, James Gardiner, and Adjetey Anang, while the Actress in a Leading Role nominees feature Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, and Nana Ama McBrown.

Supporting actor nominees include John Dumelo and Majid Michel, with Sonia Ibrahim and Roselyn Ngissah competing in the supporting actress category.

The Discovery of the Year category features contenders like Rosemond Brown (Akuapem Poloo) and Martina Dwamena (Asantewaa).

Fred Nuamah, CEO of the Ghana Movie Awards, promises a night of glamour and entertainment.

The event's dress code is formal, with tuxedos and Kente for men, and evening gowns for women.
