Barcelona beat Atletico to set up Real Madrid final in Copa del Rey

Barcelona won 1-0 against Atletico Madrid. This victory took them to the Copa del Rey final for the first time in four seasons. They will face Real Madrid in a "Clasico."

Barcelona is the most successful club in Copa history, with 31 trophies. They last reached the final in 2021 when they beat Athletic Bilbao.

Madrid has reached its second final in three seasons. They won their 20th title against Osasuna in 2023.

The final will take place on April 26 in Seville. It will be the third Clasico of this season.

Barcelona won their previous matches: 4-0 in October and 5-2 in January’s Super Cup final.

There is also a chance they could meet again in the Champions League this season.

Atletico aimed to reach the Copa final for the first time since 2013. That year, they defeated Madrid to win their tenth title.

Diego Simeone’s team had drawn level after two late goals in Barcelona's first leg. However, they squandered a 2-0 lead during that match.

Torres scored his goal at the 27-minute mark. He received a perfect through ball from Lamine Yamal and finished well inside the area.

Atletico striker Alexander Sorloth had a goal disallowed for offside at minute 69.
