Malik Basintale Welcomes Shatta Wale to YEA, Promises 150 Electric Vehicles for Shaxi
On May 30, Malik Basintale, CEO of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), welcomed Shatta Wale to his office. They launched a new partnership together.
Basintale committed to providing 150 electric vehicles for Shatta Wale's Shaxi platform. He clarified that these vehicles come from a private individual. His team will register the vehicles on Shatta Wale's ride-hailing app.
Shatta Wale founded Shaxi in 2021. The platform offers branded taxi cabs available for hire through an app. It aims to provide affordable transportation and create jobs for Ghanaian youth.
So far, Shaxi has employed dozens of drivers who transport passengers across Ghana. Basintale expressed interest in the platform after seeing a post by Shatta Wale on May 27.
In related news, Sarkodie endorsed Shatta Wale's Invest in Shaxi campaign earlier this week. This endorsement is significant due to their past rivalry. It highlights the importance of unity in promoting Ghanaian businesses.
