Brad Pitt breaks silence on finalising Angelina Jolie divorce after 8yrs

Brad Pitt is speaking out about his divorce from Angelina Jolie. This comes after eight years of separation.

In an interview with GQ, he was asked if he felt relief. He replied, “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing.” He described the settlement as “just something coming to fruition. Legally.”

Pitt's comments follow their divorce settlement in December 2024. Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016.

Her lawyer, James Simon, stated that more than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce. She and the children left their shared properties with Pitt. Since then, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.

Simon added that this is just one part of a long process. He noted that Angelina is exhausted but relieved this part is over.

Jolie’s legal team filed documents stating she waived any right to spousal support from Pitt forever.

Angelina Jolie is 49 years old, while Brad Pitt is 61. They were declared legally single in 2019.
