Renowned artist manager Bullgod has called for Ghana’s general elections to be held earlier than December, suggesting that the current timing poses challenges for political transitions.
Speaking in a recent interview monitored by Virgin Blogger, he argued that holding elections earlier would provide sufficient time for the newly elected government to settle and effectively prepare for the new year.
According to Bullgod, December elections create unnecessary pressure on incoming administrations, as they are left with little time to adjust before the fiscal year begins.
“A November or October election would allow for a smoother handover process and better planning,” he emphasized.
His comments have sparked discussions among political observers, with many considering the logistical and constitutional implications of such a change. The debate reflects growing interest in improving Ghana’s democratic processes.
