Burna Boy gifts Portable $13K for defeating Speed Darlington in boxing match

Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, has given Portable $13,300. This gift comes after Portable's victory over Speed Darlington in a celebrity boxing match.

Portable is known for his hit song “Zazoo Zeh.” He confirmed the gift in an Instagram story on his verified account.

The boxing match, called “Chaos In The Ring,” happened on April 18, 2025. It took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.

Portable won the match with a strong performance. Speed Darlington reportedly injured his shoulder and needed help to leave in an ambulance.

Burna Boy and Speed Darlington have had a troubled relationship. Previously, Speed accused Burna Boy of having ties with American rapper Diddy to win a Grammy.

To celebrate Portable’s win, Burna Boy gifted him N20 million. Portable confirmed this amount on Instagram.

He wrote: “N20 million from Burna Boy! If you want to be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family.”
