Celestine Donkor, husband to sponsor education of DJ Awana’s children 

Gospel musicians Celestine Donkor and her husband, Kofi Donkor, have made a promise. They will sponsor the education of two children of DJ Awana. DJ Awana was a well-known DJ at Multimedia Group Limited. He passed away a few weeks ago.

The announcement came during DJ Awana's one-week commemoration in Tema Community 2. Celestine and Kofi Donkor made this pledge to honor DJ Awana's support for their music ministry.

One child is in Junior High School, while the other is in Senior High School. This scholarship aims to help them continue their education.

DJ Awana was popular in Ghana’s disc jockey scene. He died on April 6, 2025, after a short illness.

Despite being a silent DJ, he had many admirers and fans. His final funeral rites are scheduled for September 27, 2025.

Meanwhile, Celestine Donkor has released a new song titled "Akorfala."
