Celestine Donkor scammed GH¢1,000 in fake Papaye food order - Issues warning

Gospel singer Celestine Donkor has lost GH¢1,000 to fraudsters while trying to order food from Papaye’s Lapaz branch.

In a video shared on February 4, 2025 , she explained that she found a contact online, placed an order, and was asked to make an upfront mobile money payment due to "previous unpaid orders."

After sending the money, she realized the recipient’s name was not papaye.

When she questioned them, they claimed to be using their manager’s number. They even attempted to trick her into entering a code, at which point she knew she had been scammed.

She later visited Papaye’s Lapaz branch but was met with an indifferent response, suspecting the staff might be aware of the scam.

She urged the public to be cautious and avoid falling victim.
