Chris Stapleton wins big at country music awards

Chris Stapleton triumphed at the 2024 CMA Awards, winning Male Vocalist, Song of the Year, and Single of the Year for "White Horse." However, Morgan Wallen took home the night’s top prize, Entertainer of the Year.

Despite a resurgence in country music, Beyoncé's exclusion from nominations, despite her success with "Texas Hold 'Em," sparked controversy.

Wallen, who had been suspended for using a racial slur, received the honor three years after his apology and album success.

Other winners included Lainey Wilson (Female Vocalist) and Cody Johnson (Album of the Year).

Dolly Parton did not appear, but a tribute to George Strait was a highlight.
