Takoradi's Central Business District transformed into a festive hub as masqueraders paraded the streets for the famous Westside Carnival, or “Ankos.”
Over 30 masquerade groups showcased colorful costumes, accompanied by brass bands and local music, delivering dazzling dance and artistic performances.
Spectators from across Ghana were captivated by the vibrant atmosphere. John Amoah of the Yankee Masquerade group highlighted the carnival as a unique gathering for families and friends, cementing Takoradi's reputation as a prime Christmas destination.
Nathaniel Egyir from the Cosmos group invited newcomers to witness the city's unparalleled festivities, urging all to embrace peace and harmony during the season.
Police maintained order, ensuring safety for revelers as Takoradi buzzed with joy and cultural pride.
