Creativity drives my music, not meaningless lyrics – Nacee clarifies ‘Kwen Kwen’ misinterpretation

Ghanaian producer and singer Nacee has addressed controversy surrounding his latest track, Kwen Kwen, which supports John Mahama’s 2024 presidential campaign.

The uproar began after Nacee’s comments on the song's opening line were misunderstood as implying the song lacked substance.

He clarified that the line was intentionally playful and part of his creative process, not a reflection of the whole song’s meaning.

Speaking on Angel FM, he emphasized that Kwen Kwen has a purpose and aims to engage listeners, especially during the election period.

Despite the misinterpretation, the song’s catchy nature and energy have been well-received by Mahama’s supporters.
