Dada KD's Family Announces One-Week Observance Date After His Death

The family of Ghanaian musician Dada KD has announced his one-week observance. This follows his death on May 16, 2025. The observance will take place on June 21 at the East Legon Executives Club in Accra.

Dada KD, also known as Dada Kwakye Duah, died at age 56. He passed away after a medical emergency around 4 PM. Reports indicate he was rushed to the hospital shortly before his death. A note was found in his room afterward.

His manager dismissed rumors of a shooting incident before Dada KD's death. He stated that the singer was healthy and scheduled to perform abroad soon.

Dada KD began music as a church instrumentalist at age 15. He joined a band after secondary school and recorded his first album, *Honey Love*. His career gained momentum with albums like *Adi Nye Wo'* and *Eden na megyee*.

With nine albums, he is celebrated for his love songs and is considered a highlife great in Ghana. In 2004, he won Best Male Vocal Artist at the Ghana Music Awards in Britain.

Ghanaians are mourning Dada KD's sudden passing. Many have shared their condolences online, expressing shock and sadness over his death.

In related news, Ama Endorsed’s funeral date has also been announced. She passed away on April 17, 2025, after falling ill. Her burial service will be held on May 24 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Greater Accra Region. Afterward, she will be interred privately in her hometown of Dzodze in the Volta Region.
